KnockOut Js

In this article I will use knockoutjs for achieve MVVM patterns. Knockoutjs is a well known javascript library for create responsive, clean and rich interactive UI.

Knockout JS Features:

Bind model to UI: It is provide simple way to bind Model to direct UI
Dependency Trcking: It will automatically update UI base on changes in model data
Extensible: It is easy to write our custom method and behavior as per requirement of our application

MVVM (Model View View Model) design pattern for develop software. MVVM is specialize design pattern for presentation of Model in UI. It is targeted at modern UI development platforms which support Event-driven programming, such as HTML5, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), and Silverlight.
MVVM design pattern provide facility to develop software in a way the development of UI is totally separate of development of logic or model. MVVM is responsible to represent model on UI.

For set up visit http://github.com/downloads/SteveSanderson/knockout/knockout-2.0.0.js and download lasted knockoutjs and add in your solution.

Knockout is also now available on NuGet package
We can download it using Visual Studio Package manager Consol using command : Install-Package knockoutjs

Send Email in MVC using ActionMailer

Hello friends, happy Sunday:). Today’s post it about send email. Sending email is an easy task! This post it about how to send customize email base on model and view in MVC using controller and action method using Action Mailer.

Action Mailer is an open source library it is provide easy way to send email using MVC controller and action method, we can use view and model as an Email Template.

Action Mailer is now available on NuGet. We can download it using Visual Studio Package manager Consol using command : Install-Package ActionMailer

OR download using link :https://bitbucket.org/swaj/actionmailer.net/downloads/ActionMailer.Net.Mvc-v0.7.0.zip

Ok, now we are ready for simple demo of Action Mailer.

Step 1: SetUp Project
- Create MVC Application using VS 2010
- Install ActionMalier library using NuGet package
- Or download Action Mailer from above link and add reference of ActionMailer.Net.ddl and ActionMailer.Net.Mvc.ddl.

Step 2: Configuration
Action Mailer is use default smtp setting from web config file. We need to set smtp setting in project we.config file.
Open web.config file and add following code in file.

Step 3: Add Controller and Action
Now, First create entity Emailinfo in model.
Add new controller and action method in application. Second is inherit that controller from MailerBase.

Step 4: Add Views
Using Action Mailer we can send both type email like only plain text and rich HTML email.
We can use Views as email template for send email.
Create view EmailTemplate.html.cshtml. In view name .html is refer the email will be send as HTML email. For send plain text email use EmailTemplate.text.cshtml.

Step 5: Ready
All are ready, now just need to call method for send emails.
We can send email asynchronous and synchronous both way using ActionMailer.
Use Following code for send email.

            new MailController().SampleEamil(new EamilInfo
            {
                Body = "ActionMailer is awesome!",
                FromEamil = "ranmal.ratiya@gmail.com",
                ToEamil = "ranmal007@gmail.com",
                Subject = "Actionmailer Demo"
            }).Deliver(); 

            new MailController().SampleEamil(new EamilInfo
            {
                Body = "ActionMailer is awesome!",
                FromEamil = "ranmal.ratiya@gmail.com",
                ToEamil = "ranmal007@gmail.com",
                Subject = "Actionmailer Demo"
            }).DeliverAsync();
